At The Clere, we acknowledge our recent Ofsted rating, however, strong leadership and systems are now in place to move the school forward at rapid pace. Under the dynamic leadership of our new headteacher, Jayne McLaren, who has a proven track record of turning around schools, we are already seeing the seeds of positive change.

Assistant Headteacher
We are seeking to appoint a talented, dedicated, enthusiastic and inspirational Assistant Headteachers to support the Headteacher and the SLT in developing and communicating a clear strategic vision of how to raise standards and expectations across KS3 and KS4, with a focus on behaviour for learning.

Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO)
We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic practitioner to take on the role of Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO). The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the team of Learning Support Assistants, monitoring the progress of SEN students, leading intervention and ensuring effective use is made of the delegated budget. The school will look to support high quality candidates in achieving the SENCO qualification if they do not already have it.

Support Staff Vacancies
Learning Support Assistant
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our Learning Support Team. We are looking for someone to cover 5 days per week but we would consider applicants offering 3 or 4 days per week.
The successful candidate will provide support to pupils of all abilities and ages. The ideal candidate will be flexible, patient and have a good sense of humour with a passion for working with, and assisting, young people. You will work in close association with our teaching staff to support students’ needs in improving progress and attainment.
Finance Manager
We are seeking to appoint a Finance Manager to provide financial planning, systems, monitoring and control and administrative support to meet the school needs. The role is full time, 37 hours per week.
The successful candidate must be educated to GCSE level standard or equivalent with 5 passes including English and Maths at Grade 4 [C] or above, have excellent ICT skills, experience of office systems, two years financial experience, experience of budget monitoring and forecasting, experience of effectively supervising staff, communication and organisational skills. The ability to be flexible and adaptable is essential and have a friendly manner with a good sense of humour.
